Two Coats Year-end Fundraising Campaign, 2020

Incentive: Sharon Butler, BidenHarris, 2020, oil on canvas, 16 x 16 inches. This painting, made during the height of uncertainty during the campaign, goes to the first reader who contributes $1000 or more.

Now that the presidential election is over and 2020 is drawing to a close, we have begun our annual year-end fundraising campaign. Two Coats of Paint began publishing in 2007, and this past year, thanks to your generous tax-deductible contributions and ongoing support from our advertisers, social media services clients, and the Two Trees Cultural Space Subsidy Program, we have been able to continue for another year. Your funding helped us to weather the Covid-19 economic crisis. Two Coats published more than 125 posts, compensated outside contributors, and kept three assistants working despite the challenging economy. Next year, in addition to maintaining the blogazine, we are planning several special projects: we hope to create an archive comprising all the exhibition announcements and catalogues we have received over the past 13 years, to make some much needed technical improvements to the sites underlying code and design, and to resume our residency program (Covid-19 permitting).

We are immensely grateful for your financial support and continued participation in the project, to which we remain passionately committed.

If independent art projects like Two Coats of Paint are valuable to you, please consider supporting us again in the coming year by making a tax-deductible contribution. No amount is too small. Thank you!
