Advertising Opportunities

A NYC-based online art journal, Two Coats of Paint specializes in providing advertising opportunities for arts organizations, galleries, and other members of the art community. Launched in 2007, Two Coats publishes original content with an emphasis on contemporary art. In 2014, we received a prestigious Creative Capital/Warhol Foundation Arts Writing Grant and, in 2016, a CC/WF Follow-Up grant to complete ongoing projects.

Advertising Rates:
Large ad (300×600 static): $450 per month / $1200 for three months (rotates with one other ad)
Medium ad (300 x 300 static): $300 per month /$850 for three months (dedicated space)
Medium ad (300 x 300 static): $200 per month /$550 for three months (rotates with other ads)
Small ad (125 x 300 static) $100 / $275 for three months (dedicated space)
Small ad (125 × 300 static): $50 per month / $125 for three months (rotates with other ads)
Newsletter ads (530 x 230 static banner): $350 per month / $1000 for three months / Embed your ad directly in our email newsletter, which goes out to subscribers three times a week.

NOTE: All ads include a link to your website. Animated ads (GIF) cost an additional $50.

300 words, two images / $400
Sponsored essays, like regular articles, appear within the content area and are distributed to all RSS Feed subscribers. Because they become part of the Two Coats of Paint searchable archive, sponsored essays are collaborative, carefully curated, and by invitation only. Please send a note expressing interest in supporting blog content in this manner.

Two Coats of Paint reserves the right to decline any advertisement. In the event of an error, we will rerun a corrected ad.

Culture Pundits (member, 2007-11) was founded by Barry Hoggard and James Wagner, and Nectar Ads (member, 2011-2016)  was founded by Veken Gueyikian and Hrag Vartanian. Nectar Ads included Two Coats of Paint, Art F City, Art Market Monitor, Big Red & Shiny, Colossal, Hyperallergic, Listings Project, Rhizome, Spoon & Tamago, and Vandalog. In 2016, Two Coats of Paint left Nectar Ads and started an independent advertising initiative.
