I'll be running around to the NYC art fairs this weekend, and my first stop is VOLTA to see Ian Toms paintings at SEASON. I saw Toms's work when I was out in Seattle last year, and I'm looking forward to seeing what he's been up to. Here are the images from the VOLTA website.
Note: VOLTA has moved to 82 Mercer Street (between Spring and Broom) this year. While at VOLTA, don't miss Clint Jukkala's paintings at Giampietro, and Eva Lake's collages at Frosch &Portmann.
Also recommended in the neighborhood:
Spring Break, a curator-driven art fair, at the corner of Mott and Prince Streets
Salon Zurcher, an art-fair-in-a-gallery at 33 Bleecker Street, featuring
Gallery Diet, Miami
Anthony Greaney, Boston
Heiner Contemporary, Washington
Andrew Rafacz Gallery, Chicago
Vox Populi, Philadelphia
Romer Young Gallery, San Francisco
And TONIGHT: Galleries are all open late in Bushwick---->More info and link to the map here
