Pace’s eighth exhibition of Elizabeth Murray's work—and the first since she died in 2007—focuses on paintings from the ‘70s, a period of growth and experimentation. The exhibition comprises thirty pieces, including loans from the Detroit Institute of Art, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Princeton University Art Museum, and Whitney Museum of American Art as well as "Everybody Knows," her last painting.
Defying Pace's "No Photography" edict, James Kalm Rough Cuts covers the opening reception.
"Elizabeth Murray: Painting in the 70s," Pace, New York, NY. Through April 30.
